No editorial conditions
A partner cannot review, delay, or soften anything we publish. Where a finding concerns a partner, it is published on the same terms as any other finding.

Collaboration on terms we can both live with afterwards
We work with others where it makes the work better and say so plainly when we do not. ACHRC does not accept partnerships that require us to soften a finding, withhold a correction, or lend our name to something we have not examined.
Our terms
Four conditions, stated before anything is agreed
These are not negotiated per partnership. Publishing them means nobody spends three meetings discovering that the arrangement was never going to work.
Declared interests
Any relationship that could reasonably be read as an interest is declared before the matter is discussed, and recorded in the minutes.
Non-partisan
We do not partner with political parties or with entities whose primary purpose is electoral. Our election work is process literacy only.
Purpose alignment
The work must fall within the registered objects of the society. We decline collaborations that would take us outside our mandate, however welcome the resources.
Who we work with
Four kinds of partner
Most useful collaboration is small and specific: a room, a translator, a referral accepted. It rarely needs an agreement longer than a page.
Community organisations
Resident welfare associations, self-help groups, and local collectives who host sittings and recruit facilitators from the locality.
Hosting a session, identifying facilitators, arranging a venue
Educational institutions
Colleges and departments that place students on the Transparency Fellows cycle or host civic literacy sessions on campus.
Fellowship placements, campus sessions, research supervision
Legal professionals
Advocates and legal aid practitioners who accept referrals. ACHRC does not represent anyone; referral is the extent of what we can offer.
Accepting referrals, reviewing guidance material, clinic support
Civil society networks
Other registered organisations working on transparency, rights, or access to justice, where a shared effort reaches further than a separate one.
Joint sittings, shared material, coordinated documentation
We do not list partners without permission
Several organisations host our sittings, accept our referrals, and place students on the fellowship cycle. None of them are named here, because a public listing is a claim about somebody else and it needs their written consent first. Where consent is given, the organisation appears on this page.
