Cookie notice
Short, because there is very little to declare. This site sets no cookies and tracks nobody.
Last updated: August 2026. This notice applies to the website at https://achrcouncil.org.
The short version
ACHRC sets no cookies on this website. There is no analytics package, no advertising network, no social media pixel, no session tracking, and no third-party script that profiles you. Nothing on this site follows you to another one.
Because we set no cookies, there is no consent banner to click through. We would rather remove the tracking than ask you to agree to it.
What is stored in your browser
One thing, and only if you use it. If you switch the site between light and dark appearance, that preference is saved in your browser’s local storage under the key theme so the site does not flash the wrong colours the next time you visit.
- It is stored on your device, not on a server.
- It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
- It contains a single word, such as
light, dark, orsystem. - Clearing your browsing data removes it. The site works exactly the same without it.
Local storage is not a cookie, but it is storage on your device, so we declare it here rather than relying on the technical distinction.
Fonts
The typefaces used on this site are served from the site’s own domain rather than requested from a font provider at page load. No request leaves for a third-party font service, so no third party learns that you visited.
Forms
Our forms do not set cookies. When you submit one, the data is delivered either through a third-party form endpoint configured at build time or by opening your own mail application, depending on how the site is deployed. Where a form endpoint is used, that provider receives what you submit and may apply its own logging. This is described in the privacy policy, and the delivery method in use is stated on each form before you submit.
Server logs
This site is a set of static files served by our hosting provider. Like most web servers, that provider may record standard request logs — IP address, timestamp, requested file, browser string — for security and basic operation. We do not use those logs to build a profile of any visitor, and we do not combine them with anything you submit through a form.
External links
Where we link to a statutory authority, a helpline, or another organisation, that site has its own cookie practices which we neither control nor endorse. This notice covers only https://achrcouncil.org.
If this changes
If we ever introduce anything that stores or transmits more than the theme preference described above, this page will be updated before it goes live, and a consent mechanism will be added where one is required.
